Édith Piaf has shattered all records: of seduction, of passions, of suffering, of madness, of provocation, of desires (Robert Belleret, Piaf, a French myth) and still remains today the best-known French performer worldwide. It is to this immense artist that Vladimir Kornéev wishes to pay tribute because the songs and life of Piaf are also a bit of the history of French song.
Vladimir Kornéev, singer and actor of Georgian origin, recently captivated the Quebec public during his participation in Parapapam presented at the Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier alongside Patrick Bruel, Marie-Josée Lord and Mario Pelchat.
In new arrangements specially created for this show, Vladimir Kornéev revisits Piaf's repertoire, the most famous songs (My God, La vie en rose, L’hymn à l’amour…) to some lesser known songs (The right to love) or songs she performed but never recorded (Where are all my lovers, Like a sparrow). Vladimir Kornéev will also introduce us to his life and career path and the parallels with the life of Piaf in this concert presented for the first time in Quebec.
Piaf as we have never heard her, Piaf sung by an exceptional male voice for a completely new look at this extraordinary woman and career.
Show duration: 1 hour 50 minutes with intermission.
