Inspired by Hugh Whitemore's play "BREAKING THE CODE"
based on ALAN TURING: THE ENIGMA by Andrew Hodges

Alan is rather moody, socially awkward and obsessed with details… in short, he is a genius.
In 1952, this mathematician and researcher was cooked by a police inspector, after having filed a complaint for burglary. By agreeing to deliver fragments of his memories, he comes to discharge the two heavy secrets that he has carried within him for too long. The first confronts him with the intolerance of his society and his time, while the second concerns the crucial role that Alan played in one of the momentous events of the 20th century: the victory of the Allies against Nazi Germany. The fascinating story of Alan Turing goes well beyond the framework of the spy story.
National hero forced into silence, citizen persecuted because of his homosexuality, he is today widely considered as one of the fathers of artificial intelligence whose scientific and philosophical reflections still feed the debates. The director Sébastien David takes on the text of Benoit Solès, rewarded in Paris by several Molière trophies, and directs a performer-tightrope walker who knows about complex characters: Benoît McGinnis.

“Have you ever had a secret, a big secret? No?
Then you don't know how hard it can be to keep it to yourself. Of all immaterial things, silence is one of the heaviest to bear. And precisely, my life was full of secrets…
Have you ever heard of the Enigma? Of course not, how could you? So now is the time to be careful. »
